Engineering
Navistar offers exceptional engineering internships across a broad spectrum of
engineering specialties from electrical, mechanical and computer to foundry,
acoustic and aerodynamic. While the responsibilities of each internship differ
according to specialty area, all participants can expect purposeful work and
significant degrees of responsibility. Participants will see the theory of the
classroom practically applied under the intentional direction of senior-level
engineers.
Requirements:
-
Majors: mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering,
acoustics engineering or related major
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Class status: sophomores, juniors or first-year graduate students
Finance & Accounting
Finance internships with Navistar provide participants exposure to key financial
methodologies and procedures. Students can expect to gain a thorough understanding
of capital process requirements, vendor interaction, purchase order and related
invoicing processes, and corporate alliance agreements. Participants will also
develop an understanding of our infrastructure and values and gain meaningful and
transferable business skills.
Requirements:

Majors: finance or accounting (12 semester hours in accounting for accounting
interns; 9 semester hours of accounting for finance interns)
- GPA of 3.0 or higher

Class status: juniors, seniors or fourth-year students who will be graduating
with a master's in accounting
Supply Chain
Supply Chain internships provide participants practical experience with data
analysis, solution design, project management and stakeholder interactions.
Additionally, participants gain valuable exposure to functions and requirements of
our global supply chain from parts purchasing to product manufacturing, including
the design of material and network flow.
Requirements:

Majors: supply management, purchasing, transportation/logistics, or related
major
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Class status: sophomores, juniors, or first-year graduate students
- Valid driver’s license
Aftersales Organization
Each department offers unique learning experiences and strategic projects designed
to help you learn more about Navistar’s strategic goals and business objectives.
You will manage key projects and work both independently and with the team to complete
your summer assignments. Your mentor manager will provide direction, so you can understand
your role on these projects. He or she will evaluate your progress, give you feedback,
and help you gain visibility at huddle boards, team meetings, and executive reviews.

Requirements:
- Sophomore standing at the time of application and pursuing a Bachelors or Master degree.
- Preferred degreed areas are: Operations, Business Administration, Engineering, Automotive Technology and Information Systems.
